Our most recent commercial video is a training film produced for the Exergen Corporation, producers of industrial and medical non-invasive temperature technology. They’ve provided temperature sensors for NASA and various other industries and make a really cool product, the Temporal Scanner, which we produced the video for.
The Temporal Scanner is a bit revolutionary in that it allows nurses and doctors to accurately take a patients temperature by scanning their forehead. This means they no longer have to wake or disturb a patient to get their temperature. The scanner is very popular and made the list of INC Magazine’s 25 Smartest Products of the last decade, alongside such innovations as the iPod, Netflix and Google.
The training film covers the professional model of the Temporal Scanner (they also produce a consumer model found in Walmart and Toys R Us) and is a re-creation of a nurses in-service training, where the proper use and care of the scanner would normally be covered during a break in a nurse’s busy work day. Exergen decided on this track because they wanted a training video that had a narrative set in an environment nurses and doctors knew and could relate to.
